HYTHE ART SOCIETY  42nd    ANNUAL EXHIBITION

OUR ANNUAL EXHIBITION  RUNs FROM 28th JULY UNTIL 11th AUGUST in HYTHE TOWN HALL.

THE PRIVATE VIEWING AND OPENING WAS ON FRIDAY 27th JULY 2007 at 6.30pm BY THE RT HON MICHAEL HOWARD, QC MP.

Michael Howard opened the exhibition praising the high standard of work displayed by our members  and how our society was an example of the community spirit which makes Hythe such a special town.

Audrey Wayte thanked and praised all the artists for the magnificent display of paintings,  the commitee for all the many days of hard work to put together the exhibition. Most of all she had the great pleasure to annonce that the Council  KCC had generously given the Society a grant to help towards the cost of our exhibition.

The Town Hall was overwhelmed by visitors and many sales were done on the night.
